These drama notes are on the upcoming 2nd season of Alchemy of Souls.

Many fans are looking forward to season 2, where Naksu goes back to her own body and faces Jin Mu - the man who usurped her entire childhood - with her full might reinstated.

But there’s also a belief that the drama is drawing out the story instead of completing it in 20 episodes.

This essay partly defends the story structure used by writers Hong Jang-eun and Hong Mi-ran, and partly looks into the challenges ahead for the final part of the drama.
